However, this website will now also cover the few Bobsy Formula Fords (FF). Only four were made by Jerry Mong in 1969. The author of this website, Bob Alder, acquired one of the FFs in January of 2018. Documenting these rare FFs seemed an effort worthy of sharing with the Bobsy Community so a new page for the Bobsy Formula Fords has thus been added. Please use the buttons at the top of each page to navigate to the other sections of this site -- for instance the History, the actual Car Registry, Photos & Links , etc. Enjoy and please contact either of us by phone or email to contribute to the body knowledge about the whereabouts of any of these great cars, ownership information (past and current), pictures, sources of parts, etc. We don't hold out that all the info here is perfect, but we're trying and with your help . . . . who knows! If you wish to directly contact any of the owners listed in the Car Registry, please send your request to us and we'll forward your inquiry to them if we have their contact information. We do it this way to protect the privacy of everyone and not splatter personal contact info all over cyberspace. As to Bobsy parts, we currently we have some information on availablity. If you'd like to see what info we have, drop us an email request and we'll send it to you. Any input on parts sources, either some Bobsy parts you have for sale or a good supplier you know about, let us know. We have three actual shop drawings of the bulkhead for an SR-2, circa 1963. The drawings are for the "Intermediate bulkhead," the "Instrument panel bulkhead," and the "Front half of the Front Bulkhead." The three drawings have been scanned into a PDF which could be sent upon request. At the September, 2023 RMVR event at Pueblo. several RMVR owners of Bobsy cars entered for the weekend -- Dick Bensen SR-6, John Polhemus FF, Tom Quarantto SR-6 and Bob Alder SR-3. As close followers of the website are aware, RMVR is a hotbed of Bobsy owners -- six owners with eight Bobsy cars. How'd that happen? Tom was kind enough to get

A NEW
WEBSITE FEATURE It was decided to use this space to provide access to several Bobsy restoration projects. These are always interesting to view and could even be considered a resource for anyone doing a restoration on their own car. They all provide lots of useful ideas and tips. If you have pictures of your project, let me know. It need not be a competed project, but hopefully well on its way. So, here's what is available now. More to follow. Also mentioned elsewhere on this site (on the History page), this is an amazing video, in color, of the original 1961 "Mong Special" (the prototype for Bobsy cars-to-come) being raced by Floyd Sable at the Milwaukee Mile in 1962. Floyd purchased the "Bobsy Special" car from Mong. Trevor Seckol provided this short video taken at Silverstone a rolling start (unsual for the UK) and the covering green flag lap. It was the first time out since a major chassis rebuild to cure handling problems. His son, Tom is driving and pretty much killing it on the start. Troy Tinsley made these great videos! The first is of him and Don Anderson practicing at the 2021 Monterey Historics. Another of CSRG at Sonoma USRRC April 2019. . as then CSRG 2018 Charity Challenge Oct. 2018 at Sonoma.
